Intro To Posing
A Foundational Class at The Photocoop
Whether you're a photographer looking to direct models more confidently or a model hoping to strengthen your presence in front of the camera, Intro to Posing is designed to give you the core skills needed to create strong, intentional images.
In this hands-on workshop, two experienced instructors from The Photo Coop will guide participants through the fundamentals of posing, body awareness, and visual storytelling. The class focuses on understanding how small adjustments in posture, angles, and expression can dramatically change the way a photograph feels.
Participants will learn how to identify flattering body positions, communicate effectively between photographer and model, and build poses naturally rather than relying on memorization. Through live demonstrations and guided exercises, students will see how posing works in real time and how to direct or perform poses that feel confident, natural, and expressive.
