About This Class

Black & white photography isn’t just about removing color — it’s about shaping light, shadow, and texture to create images with real depth and impact. In this 2-hour online class, photographer Keon Vines will break down the fundamentals of black & white editing and give you practical tools to transform your photos into striking works of art.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Understand tonal range using the Zone System

  • Convert images to black & white with intention (not just desaturation)

  • Use contrast, clarity, and local adjustments to add depth

  • Apply dodge & burn techniques to guide the viewer’s eye

  • Finish your edits with grain, vignettes, and sharpening for web or print

This class is perfect for photographers who already know the basics of Lightroom or Photoshop and are ready to take their editing further.

What’s Included
